Way mouth Wins Mt. Denby Club Trophy

With a net score of 288 over the four rounds, C. W. Waymouth won the Club trophy played for by members of the Whangarei Golf Club and finalised on Saturday. The runnerup was R. B. Barron, with 289, followed by S. J. Wood 290, and F. C. Walton 29G. The best cards in the final round, played in conjunction with a medal round, were: Senior. —R. D. Barron, 81—10—71; W. J. Glanville, 74—2—72; H. Wilson, 35—12—73. Junior. —G. D. Eatcup, 88 —19 —69; E. Dyer, 87—18—69; G. Birnie, 85— 15—70; C. Waymouth, 93—22—71; L. E. Bennett, 85—14—71; H. Kean Clarke, 92—20—72. On a count-back, Batcup won. The copditions for play on Saturday were good and the links were in first-class order.
