Scoring and converting three tries, Pattison, the Central winger, was the outstanding player at Whakapara. Twice he emerged from nowhere to gallop sti’aight for the line, and on the third occasion he intercepted near his goal and ran the length of the field. Balfour was one of the best of the Central pack, which held the upper hand throughout. For Whakapara, Doughty scored a try, which he improved, and Milligan a try, the final score being: Central 18, Whakapara 8. HIKURANGISCORES WELL OVER SCHOOL. The Hikurangi junior team earned a well-deserved win over School at Kensington Park, winning by 16 points to nine. For Hikurangi, tries were scored by I. Procter. N. Croft. Ferguson and Laird. Martin converting two. For School, tries were scored by Mason (2) and Lecse. WAIKIEKIE TOO GOOD FOR MAUNGAKARAMEA. Waikiekie juniors were too solid and showed too much combination for Maungakaramea at Kensington Park, and the former team won by 22 points to nil. Waikiekie’s players produced some good movements in both back and forward divisions, tries being scored by D. Peters 12), K. Babe (2) and B. -Russek. P. Russek and J. Leech each converted a try. while the latter also kicked a. penalty goal. PIPIWAI DEFAULTS TO KAMO. Pipiwai failed to keep its engagement in the junior match with Kamo at Kensington Park and had to lorleit by default. Presentation To Hikurangi Player t At the conclusion of their match at Kensington Park on Saturday, Hikurangi junior players made a presentation to Bruce Wells, the half-back, who has secured a position in Auckland.
