As a result of matches played on Saturday, Hora Hora arc now leading in the A grade of the Whangarei Basketball Association’s competitions. Convent A are holding second place. In the B grade. Ramblers a'-'e leading, with Kamo next in order, while leaders of the C grade are Ngunguru, with Portland second. Results of Saturday’s games are: A grade: Hora Hora 20, Bargain Stores A 9; Convent A 14, Old Girls A 13; Hikurangi 21, Woolworths 5. B grade: Ramblers 7. Ka.mo 6; Glen-berv.’-e 14, Northland College A 10; Y.W.C.A. A 15, Old Girls B 1. C grade: Ngunguru 11, Portland 8; Northland College B 18, Bargain Stores B 9. General Franco and the Italian Foreign Minister, Count Ciano, affirmed in their talks the complete solidarity of their viewpoint and objectives, and decided to develop collaboration in mutual interest, says a message from San Sebastian.
