[Special to “Northern Advocate ”l AUCKLAND-, This Day. A round-table conference between representatives of the employers and "employees today failed to produce a settlement in the fertiliser works’ strike. The Conciliation Commissioner, Mr R. E. Price, who presided, has' left the way opep for either party to approach him for a further conference. Subsequently, Mr *W. J. Cuthbert, representing the Auckland Council of the Federation of Labour, said the next step would be to bring the mat-, ter before the Federation Executive.
