Awanui Again

Played at Oruru. the MangonuiAwanui clash featured loose forward rushes. Territorially Mangonui had slightly the better of the game, but the greater experience of Awanui gave them victory. Awanui’s forwards did not play as a pack, and perhaps a loss would give them the necessary inducement to work harder.

Following a loose scrum Heke Yates beat the opposition to score. Soon afterwards a back movement ■ended in Hanna scoring. Heke Yates converted with a great kick.
