Danzig Must Remain Separate Entirely, Says Poland’s Spokesman
(Received 3 p.m.) WARSAW, July 7. \ government spokesman, summing up the polish ATTIA TUDE TO THE FREE CITY, SAID THAT DANZIG FIRSTLY MUST REMAIN A SEPARATE ENTITY OUTSIDE THE REICH FRONTIERS, AND SECONDLY IT MUST REMAIN INSIDE THE POLISH CUSTOMS AREA, Poland’s right in the city must not be at the mercy of any foreign Power, and the population must continue to enjoy full cultural rights. It is understood that the British Prime Minister, Mr Chamberlain, has postponed until Monday his statement in the House of Commons on the Danzig question.
