Doctors And Social Security

[Special to “Northern Advocate’’], CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.

A decision was reached, by 27 votes to 17, against adopting the recommendation of the National Health Insurance Committee for radical changes in the attitude of the association toward the social security maternity benefits, at the meeting of the Wellington division of the British Medical Association yesterday. The meeting later, however, rescinded the original resolution, and left it to Dr. T. D. M. Stout. Wellington representative on the committee, to vote as he thought fit when the proposals are discussed in Wellington to-day.
