Barometers Record Low Reading
[Per Press Association ; Copyright.'] AUCKLAND, Monday. A record low barometric pressure, 28.72, for Auckland, was registered at 10 o’clock yesterday morning at the Government Meteorological Office, Mechanics’ Bay. The previous record was in July, 1867, when 28.73 was recorded. The meteorologist stated that a depression was moving rapidly across the Tasman towards Taranaki, where gales may be expected.
