Rail Service Blocked

PALMERSTON N.. This Day. The railway line at the Taonui flag station, south of Feilding, was blocked for four hours last evening, when three waggons of a goods train wore derailed. The waggons were not extensively damaged, and did not contain a great deal of freight. The Wellington-New Plymouth railcar was delayed at Bunnythorpe, and the Wellington-Auckland limited express was held at Palmerston North for half an hour. The railcar eventually left about two hours late, and the limited cleared Palmerston North at 10.23 p.m. The permanent-way was not damaged.
