SYDNEY. June 25

The New Zealand debaters debated with a Queensland University team, taking the negative in a debate: “That we have more to learn than to fear from Fascism.”

In the absence of Mr Aimer, who was indisposed, Mr O’Callaghan played a commendable lone hand in affirming against Queensland students, “that the daily newspaper fails to fulfill the true functions of journalism.” There was no adjudication. Mr O’Callaghan was warmly applauded.
