Seaward’s Smart Run

Advice was received in Auckland yesterday that the ketch-rigged yacht Seaward has reached Noumea after a fast run of nine days from Russell. The Seaward cleared Russell at mid night on May 31, and although she wai' hove-to for two days during a very heavy gale, the vessel reached Noumea on June 9.

■ The ship will stay at Noumea for three or four weeks before leaving for the Great Barrier Reef.
