Naval Forces’ Pay Investigation

The personnel of the committee appointed by the Government to investigate the pay and allowances of the New Zealand naval forces, was announced yesterday. The members of the committee arc as follows: —Mr R, E. Price, Conciliation Commissioner, chairman; Mr C. M. Bruce, recently retired principal As-sistant-Secretary of the Admiralty, London; Paymaster-Commander G. L. O. Davis, Royal Navy, Squadron Accountant Officer, of H.M.S. Lcander; Mr T. F. Anderson, secretary of the Seamen’s Union, Auckland.

Mr Bruce is coming to New Zealand by air, and will arrive on July 10. In the meantime, the other members of the committee will, in the course of a day or two, commence their investigations.
