4000 On Strike At Broken Hill
(Received 11.0 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 26. A strike has begun at Broken Hill mines, tendering 4000 men idle. The dispute concerns an employee at the central power station who did not receive promotion to which he was en - titled, according to union officials. The station employees ceased work, and thus there is no power for the mines, except the central mine, which has its own power plant.
