N.Z. Ordnance Officer Sent to London

In order to expedite the fulfilment of orders for military materials at present being placed by the Government in England. Cabinet has decided to station an officer of the regular forces in London for a period of two years. The officer selected is Major R. S. Park, who is at present carrying out duties as district artillery officer. Central Military District, Wellington. In London Major Park will be attached to the High Commissioner’s Office, and will act as liaison officer between the New Zealand Government and the War Office.
In addition to seeing that all orders from New Zealand receive prompt attention at the hands of War Office officials and private contractors, he will keep the New Zealand Minister of Defence posted with information concerning the latest developments in armament and equipment adopted by the British Army.
