Britain’s Largest Airliner Launched
LONDON, June 17.
The airliner, Golden Hind, which cost £70,000,‘ was launched today from Short Bros.’ seaplane works on the Medway. The Golden Hind is the largest commercial aircraft built in Britain, her all-up weight exceeding 31 tons, and she can travel 6000 miles
non-stop. She will undergo a test flight, probably next week, and is expected to be handed over to Imperial Airways this month. '
