Centennial Jamboree

[Per Pn'ess Association. Copyright.] WELLINGTON, This Day.

Preparation for the English contingent to attend the New Zealand Centennial Boy Scout Jamboree in December are a letter received by Commissioner J. R. H. Cooksey, Wellington, from .Lord Hampton.

Lord Hampton said that they were straining every nerve to get together a big contingent of boys. Lord Hampton added that Mr J. S. Wilson, Camp Chief at Gilwell, the English headquarters of the Scouting movement, was looking forward to representing the Chief Scout, Lord Baden-Powell. at the New Zealand jamboree. Mr Wilson was second only in importance to the Chief Scout in the movement, and would, he thought, be of great value to the jamboree, as he had one of the soundest brains in the Scout fellowship.
