Division Decided Upon In Arapuni Handicaps
[Special to “Northern Advocate”J AUCKLAND, This Day. The Arapuni Hack Handicap, the second event on the programme of the Waipa Racing Club’s meeting, to be held at Te Awamutu next Saturday, will be run in two divisions, which will be treated as separate races, with a stake of £l5O for each. The divisions are:— ARAPUNI HACK HANDICAP.
Pandine Out of Action. Fandine suffered a deep cut on one of his hind legs during his successful run in the Wingatui Steeplechase on the middle day of the Dunedin meeting, and the injury is likely to prevent him racing again for some time. Good steeplechasers are few and far between at present, and the defection of the Panmure gelding has further weakened the ranks. Pandine had won at his last three starts over country prior to Wingatui, where he made his record four in a row after a dashing display of jumping in his first appearance in open company.
