Young Farmers’ Northland Tour

The Bay of Plenty Young Farmers, now touring Northland, were entertained at Kaitaia last night at. a dance by members of the clubs in that district.

Largely attended. the function proved a distinct success, and there was no doubt of the enjoyment oi both the visitors and their hosts. The Northland tour has been made in two parties, one section travelling via Whangarei and the Bay of Islands, and the other through Dargaville and the West Coast. Routes Exchanged. After having met at Kaitaia yesterday, each party is now traversing the ground covered by the other. The young men who left Whangarei last Friday to-day left Kaitaia for Broadwood and Opononi, where tonight is to be spent, and will continue on through Waipoua Forest to Dargaville to-morrow. They are accompanied by Mr E. H. Arnold, Agricultural Department Instructor at Dargaville.

The other party, with Mr E. B. Glanville, of the Department of Agriculture, Whangarei, proceeded to-day to Kaeo and Whangaroa, and will continue on to Paihia to-morrow. On .Thursday, the full party will meet near Maungaturoto for the homeward journey.
