Waipu Consolidated School Tender Accepted

Advice that a tender for the building of a consolidated school at Waipu has been accepted was received by Mr J. G. Barclay from the Minister of Education, Hon. P. Fraser, today.

The Minister’s letter reads as follows; —

“in continuation pf my letter of May 25 concerning the erection of a consolidated school at Waipu, I have pleasure in advising you that the Building Co-ordination Committee has now agreed to the acceptance of the lowest tender for the work, and the Auckland Education Board has been informed accordingly.”

Mr Barclay has been placing this matter before the educational authorities for some time.

•It is understood that an Auckland firm is the successful tenderer.
