In a match between Portland and Maungataporo for the “Riverhead Gold'.’ Cup. played on the Portland links on Saturday, Maungatapere was successful in taking the cup from Portland. Results were as follows, Maungatapere names being mentioned first:—

Wilson, all square; M. Adlam beat J. Henry, 2 and 1; Bradley beat A. Anderson. 1 up: Whimp beat J. Gillespie, 1 up: Ridgeloy beat T. Adams 1 up. Foote and B. Pocock all square.
