Bad Weather For Competition Games
BASKETBALL
Playing in continuous showers and a cold, biting wind, competitors in the Whangarei Basketball Association’s matches experienced unpleasant conditions on Saturday. Results of games at the Whangarei Primary School and the Convent School courts were:— A grade: Hora Hora 14, Bargain Stores A 12; Old Girls A 7, Woolworths 5; Hikurangi 10, Convent A 8. B grade: Kamo 15, Northland College A 8; Old Girls B 15, Y.W.C.A, , A 8; Ramblers 12, Glenbexwie 8. • j C grade: Northland College B 10, Y.W.C.A-. B 4; Ngunguru 9, Portland - 7; Portland 11, Bargain Stores B 1; Convent B won from Convent C by default.
