Unhurt After 350 Feet Dive Down Messenger

[Per Press Association. Copyright .l ' NEW PLYMOUTH. Tbs Day. Noticing skid marks, a broken white Dost at the side of the road, and broken trees down the hillside near the top of Mt. Messenger on the main Auckland highway, a resident called Public Works employees and a search was made.

An unoccupied car was found 350 feet down the hill, the machine having penetrated deply into the swampy ground.

A certificate of fitness found in the car showed the address of the owner as Mr L. Brough, of Matiere.

Inquiries made by the police showed that the occupants of the car were Messrs Bramley and Thomas, who escaped unhurt, climbed back to the road,: and. were taken to Aria by a passing motorist.
