British Seamen To Have Better Quarters
[British Official Wireless.l (Received 11.30 ia.m.) RUGBY, June 11
The National Maritime Board, which is representative of shipowners and seamen, has agreed on new rules intended to effect a far-reaching improvement in the crews’ quarters in British merchant ships.
Greater cleanliness and comfort are the objects of the new standard, and the board looks for the active cooperation of owners, masters and crews to enforce arid maintain it.
