Two Teams Promoted In Auckland Championship
On Saturday, with the ending of the first round in the Auckland senior Rugby competition, the fateful questions of relegation and promotion were decided for two teams in each of the first and second divisions.
Clubs rejoicing are Otahuhu and Suburbs, whose first fifteens will be lifted into the leading division next week. The laments will sound in the camps of Technical Old Boys and Manukau Rovers, who had the misfortune to lose on Saturday, thus lowering themselves into the second division. Points at the end of the round are: Marist Old Boys. 14; Grammar Schools' Old Boys. Ponsonby. Grafton, 10; North Shore. 5; Training College. 3: Manukau Rovers and Technical Old Boys. 2.
Second Division.—-Otahuhu, 12; Suburbs. 11; College Rifles. 9; Takapuna. 8: University. 7; Eden. 5; Parnell. 4: Northcoto 0.
