Nine Indians Stabbed In Johannesburg Riot
Nino Indians were stabbed and others were injured by blows inflicted will) bottles and chairs in the course of a riot between passive resistors and active resisters preceding an Indian Congress meeting in order to discuss passively resisting the Government’s restrictions of Indian trading, says a cable from Johannesburg.
Hundreds of police quelled the riot, involving 1000 people. Many were injured.
