Territorial Amy Doubles its Strength
LONDON, June 1
Recruiting figures tor the Territorial Army still show weekly gains, although as the units fill up and brigades go off to camp the rates of recruiting must necessarily slow down. Since April 1, 152,920 officers and men have joined the field forces alone, bringing the total' present estimated strength of that portion of the Territorial Army to 87 per cent, of its complete new establishment. Over a large part of the country, and in most arms, the Territorial Army has almost completed its task of coming to war establishment and then doubling its numbers —a wonderful achievement in nine weeks.
