P.M. Corrects An Impression
lSpecial to “Northern Advocate'’'] WELLINGTON, This Day.
Correcting an impression which could be taken from a Christchurch interview that the Parliamentary session will be prolonged, the Prime Minister, Mr Savage, states that he made the point that proceedings ought not to be prolonged into December. If he were asked to predict the date the session would end. October would be nearer the mark.
There was not likely to be any major legislation. It was difficult to be dogmatic, but the Government wanted to keep legislation down to the minimum.
