Czech Gold Still In Britain
LONDON, June 1
The Italian paper “Resto del Carlino,” a Fascist party organ, declares that there is still £10,000,000 in Britain belonging to “the former Czechoslovakian Government and £6,000,000 belogning to Czech private depositors. The paper claims that the Nazis obtained complete satisfaction over £6,000,000 deposited in the Bank of England through the Bank for International Settlements, but the British Government has laicfan embargo on the other £16,000,000.
