Truck Plunges Into Swamp

I Special to “Northern Advocate ” 3 KAEO, This Day.

A miraculous escape from serious injury was experienced by Mr Bgyley, of Whangarei, on Tuesday aftei’noon. He was driving a 15-ewt truck along the Pupuke road when the vehicle left the approach to one of the bridges and plunged into the mangrove swamp. \ Mr Bayley was not injured.

The truck, which had rolled over on to its side, was covered in mud, but was not badly damaged. "The"steel hood of the driver’s cab was severely dented.
