At the annual meeting of the Council of the Royftl Society in Wellington, yesterday, Dr. J. E. Holloway, Lecturer in Botany at the University of Otago, was elected president.
Rear-Admiral Richard Davies, V.C., D. 5.0., A.F.C., who was a brilliant figure in the Dardanelles and Thrace operations in the Gre'at War, has been appointed to command the naval air stations, says a cable from London.
