Rifle Club Commences Winter Season

The Whangarei Defence Rifie Club commenced the winter season during the week-end with the first shoot for the George Neville trophy. This contest is decided on the aggregate handicap score for four consecutive shoots.

A feature of the shoot was the poor scores registered at 300 yards. Although the conditions did not appear to be bad, G. Neville was the only one to return a good score, his card for 300 yards reading 5,5, 4, 4. 5,5, 5,5, 5,5, total 43. Scores were: G. Neville; 48 at 200 yards, 48 at 300 yards, handicap 1, total 97; E.
