PLUNKET SOCIETY APPEAL.—The Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children, generally referred to as the Plunket Society, yesterday launched a national appeal for £SOOO, which includes £2OOO to be set aside as an endowment fund for the upkeep and maintenance of Truby King House (top). The library (below) is to be kept as much as possible as when Sir Truby King (inset) occupied the house, with chair and telescope and vista so beloved by the society’s founder.
