Personal Pars
Mr W. C. Coote, manager of the Bank of New Zealand at Whangarei, commenced his annual leave today. He expects to spend three weeks at Rotorua and Takapuna. During his absence, Mr T. H. Stewart will act as manager of the bank. A farewell afternoon tea was given by the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, in honour of Paymaster-Cap-tain E. L. Tottenham, Naval Secretary, who leaves on Tuesday on his return to England after completing four years’ service with the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy. Opportunity was also taken to welcome Captain Tottenham’s successor, Pay-master-Captain N. T. P. Cooper.
