Miniature Rifles’ Opening Shoot
There was a good muster of competitors last night for the Whangarei Miniature Rifle Club’s opening shoot of the season. The club had issued an invitation to members of the First Composite Mounted Rifles encamped at Kensington Park to participate, and several of the territorials shot as a result. With a score of 99, I—loo, A. Higgins won the A. J. Murdoch trophy, while the Dr. Buckley Challenge Roosters wex'e won in the A grade by M. Stewart, and in the B grade by G. Dale. L. Holmes annexed the Tisdall Handicap Button. Leading scores were:—
