It provides for £1,169,000 of fresh taxation, increasing income tax by 1/ to 5/6, petrol tax 2d, surtax 10 per cent, to 15 per cent., according to incomes, and tobacco duty Bd. per lb. The estimated revenue is £32.522,000. and the surplus £II,OOO.
