Late Commercial
Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons Limited report a good yarding at their Maungakaramea sale, the entry being chiefly backward springers and boners. Dairy cows and heifers, early calvers, made from £4 15/ to £5 10/; more backward, £3 10/ to £4 10/; late calves, £2 to £3; potter bulls, £3 to £6 10/; cows and calves, £1 10/ to £4: heavy boner cows, £2 15/ to £35/; light, 25/ to 35/; weaner calves, 25/ to 33/.
Gold And Silver
Fine gold was quoted in London yesterday at £7 8/6 \ an ounce, compared with £7 8/6 the previous day. The quotation for silver at per fine ounce was 21 13/16d, compared with 21 15/16d.
