[Special to “Northern Advocate”l AUCKLAND, This Day. j Industrial and trading issues continued to lead the market .at the first call on the Auckland Stock Exchange today, New Zealands and Australian being equally in demand. There were no sellers in either New Zealand or Dominion Breweries. Buyers of Farmers’ Trading came in at the advanced figure of 19/3, while holders asked £1 0/6. Offers were also raised for the A prefs. Wilson’s Cement had stronger .inquiries at 17/4, and Woolworths (N.Z.) were firm between 18/6 and 18/9. Buyers of Taranaki Oils dropped out, and sellers moved up to 6/-. Bank of New Zealands were close to business at £1 19/6 and £1 19/7. Higher offers were made for several issues of Government bonds and stocks, and there was a better response from holders.
Sales completed at the noon call today were; Farmers’ Auctioneering B pref., 19/-; Auckland Gas, 17/2; Auckland Gas con., 10/9; N.Z. Refrigerating (con.), 7/U; Woolworths (N.Z.), 18/6.
