The Duke of Windsor has again attracted world attention by a broadcast address in the interests of' world peace. V . Former Prince ofWales, the Duke succeeded his father, King George V as King Edward VIII of Britain on January 20,1936, and abdicated in favour of his brother, King George VI, in December 11 of the same year.
