Josie Ercfg—So you’re one of the lucky ones who went to the Health Camp, Josie. It’ll be fun to have a Northland Health Camp, won't it? Verna Hansen—Hope the 'flu has disappeared, Verna. Shouidn’t be long to the concert now. I like the idea of a bazaar to raise funds for the Centennial Holiday. Cheerio and best
wishes to Mum and Dad. I’m going out to Pakaraka immediately alter the school holidays so I’ll be able to coiled the part tor Betty then. Basil Hiider —A long time ago. I kept guinea pigs, too. Basil. Fascinating jittle things, aren’t they. I made a patent hutch for mine so they could eat the grass on tne lawn. My other pet, a dog. upset the much and my guinea pigs came to a very sad end. I’m sure it won’ take you long to learn to earn that extra point for a book. Gladys Drake says; “I think the Centennial Fund is a capital idea and I feel sure young Northlanders who visit Wellington will come home with heaps of news for the unfortunate ones who stay home.’ I —d[ think even the “cowspankers” will be able to spare a week to see the Exhibition, don’t you, Gladys. It’s certainly toe good to miss it there’s any possibility of seeing it. We’re planning to take Caroline Camera witn us to Wellington, so perhaps if there are some Northlanders whom we can’t take to the Centennial then we ir be able to take at least part of the Centennial to them. Winnie Brydon —That’s eight shillings worth of bottles altogether, isn’t it Winnie? Keep up the good work, you’re doing splendidly. Desiree Seux —Thank you for the letter, Desiree. Did you receive the 2/- safely? Cheerio. Irma Webber — You’ve summed up the S.P. perfectly. Irma. He was watching Percy P. this afternoon and chuckling away at a new cartoon about Oswald Rabbit. He couldn’t possibly have known what it was all about, but the movement on the screen seemed to interest him no end. Cheerio.
Florence Johnstone —Thank you for the jokes, Florence. Please write them on a separate piece of paper next time. You see I like to keep letters and contributions separate. Mabel Powell —Goodness gracious, Mabel, fancy being too lazy to write. Never mind, perhaps there are a good many others who have been the same way, but they haven't told me about it. Princess and I have been busy lately sending out back merit cards, so I expect you’ll get yours before long. Yes. Kin and Raku and the S.P. are all quite alright. Cheerio to you.
