Christchurch South By-Election
[Per Press Association. Copyright.'] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A daughter of the late Mr E. J. Howard, M.P., has announced that she is considering standing for the Christchurch South by-election as an Independent Labour candidate. Miss Howard is a member of the Christchurch City Council, being chairman of its Reserves Committee, and is also secretary of the General Labourers’ Union.
