Excellent Fields For Auckland T.C. Meeting

Excellent fields arc engaged for the Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting at Alexandra Park to-morrow, only 16 of the 136 horses originally entered having declined their engagements. The principal events, the Fergusson Handicap and the Papatoetoe Handicap, have drawn 13 and 17 runners respectively, and the class is very good. Sandusky has the advantage of recent racing in the south, and his form entitles him to the greatest respect in the Fergusson Handicap. Our Peggy is very reliable, while Kewpie’s King may bo dangerous if the track is soft.

The other events on to-morrow’s card are evenly balanced, and, with an average of ,17 runners per race, a day of exciting racing may be anticipated. Retting will be under the win-nnd ■ place system. The acceptances are:—
