Japanese Seize Norwegian Ships
LONDON, April 26. Japanese warships are reported to have seized the Norwegian steamers Prosper and Promise, between Woosung and Foochow, says a Hongkong despatch. VicerAdmiral Sir Percy Noble has placed naval guards on British ships trading to Hongkong, Hainan, Swatow, Amoy and Foochow, says the Hongkong correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph.”
