Palestine Peace Search
[British Official Wirsless.l (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, April 19. Replying to a question in the House of Commons, the Colonial Secretary, Mr Maloclm MacDonald, said the discussions on Palestine which took place recently in Egypt, were not in continuation of the , London Conference. Since the latter had ended, the Government had been considering its future policy in Palestine.
In the course of an informal discussion before they left London, the delegates from some of the neighbouring Arab States had expressed certain views, and raised certain points in connection with the Government’s intentions. Further informal discussions which had subsequently taken place had been concerned with the elucidation of those points. Mr MacDonald declined to reveal at present the points raised by the Arab State, and made it clear that it had been equally open to the Jewish Agency to raise points, had it so wished.
rpHE visiting Australian golfers, von Nida and Cremin, played an exhibition match at Nelson yesterday, both returning cards of 71 against the bogey for the course of 73. Dry weather made the greens very difficult.
