Company’s mill at Waitangirua. Mr. Thomas Charles Hutton, was killed instantly late on Wednesday afternoon when the tractor he was driving crashed through a bridge. The crash was heard a few minutes after Mr. Hutton left the mill, and an investigation showed the bridge had collapsed and that Mr. Hutton was pinned beneath the tractor.
New feature programmes devoted to international understanding are announced by the British Broadcasting Corporation. The intention is to break down the barriers of lanuage and customs which separate peoples by emphasising every day things which unite them, as well as ideals and problems common to them all.
