Minister Inducted At Dargaville
The North Auckland Presbyiery rnef during the day, while in the evening special services were held in connection with the induction of the Rev. G. M. Milmine. who has succeeded the Rev. D. H. Hay, formerly minister in charge of the Dargafville Church. At the quarterly Presbytery meeting, Mr. E, Finnemore. newly-installed Home Missionary at Onerahi, was present for the first time. Routine business was attended to, special interest attaching to a youth report by the Rev. E. A. Way. In the evening an induction service was opened by the Rt. Rev. T. E. Riddle, Moderator of General Assembly. He gave an interesting address,after which the Rev. W. Elliott, of Whangarei, formally inducted Mr. Milmine, Social Hour Follows. The Rev. J. M. McKenzie, assistant director of Missions, also took part in the service. A social hour followed in the church hall, when greetings were read from various churches and organisations. Mr, H. F. Wilkinson, session clerk, Mrs. Wilkinson, representing the P.W.M.U., and Mr. H. Mawson, representing the youth activities, conveyed greetings on behalf of their respective departments. Items were given by Mesdames S. B. Dunn, Robinson, Hawkins and Stewart, ' Greetings Conveyed.
Greetings from General Assembly were conveyed by the Right Rev. T. E. Riddle, and from the Presbytery by the moderator, Rev. L. K. Brown, of Titoki.
The Rev. V. R. Jamieson, Methodist Minister, Mr. R. Gibson, Mayor of Dargaville, and the Rev. D. H. Hay also expressed their good wishes. A most enjoyable evening was spent concluding with supper provided by ladies of the church.’
