Forty five members of Parliament, supporters of the Government have put their names to a motion tabled in the House of Commons in favour of the immediate acceptance of the principle of compulsory mobilisation of the man, munition and money power of the nation.
White House officials deny Tokio press reports that President Rosevelt is contemplating making an appeal to the Japanese Government similar to that made to Herr Hitler and Signor Mussolini. They say the reports have no foundation in fact.
The whole of the 1935 class of conscripts and the 1934 class of the Air Defence Corps have been called ip, states a Stockholm message. Thus has increased Sweden's armed forces by 14,000 men. King George's name has disappeared from Eire passports, which in future will request safe passage in the name of the Prime Minister, Mr De Valera.
