Mr R. T, Wrathall, of Mangonui, has been nominated for election as a Crown tenants’ representative on the North Auckland Land Board.

The funeral of the late Mr C. F. C. Miller, of Kawakawa, took place this afternoon, leaving the Anglican Church for the Pakaraka cemetery. In addition to the service of the church, a ceremony was conducted according to the rites of the Masonic Order at the graveside, the deceased having been a P.M. of the Northern Light Lodge.

The memory of Mr. C. H. Hodgson, who died at Auckland early in the New Year, was honoured when members of the Whangarei Hockey Association stood in silence at the annual meeting last night, and also-expressed sympathy to Mrs. Hodgson. Mr. Hodgson served the Whangarei Hockey Association as referee for a long period, and was also a member of the Association. He was donor of the Hodgson Cup.
