Mr Alfred Duff-Cooper, who spoke of Herr Hitler in scathing terms, and said that if Britain had to fight in two hemispheres, it would be necessary to let things go in the Far East.

was beereiary jor wai. Born in 1890, Mr Duff-Cooper won the D.S.O. when serving with the Grenadier Gxiards during the Great War. He was elected as Conservative member for Oldham in 1924, Since 1931 he has represented the St. George’s Division of Westminster. His first Ministerial appointment was as Financial Secretary to the Wat Office.
