Rumanians Occupy Ruthenia

Ruthenians are reported to have started a counter-offensive against the
Hungarians. The Rumanian-Ruthenian frontier has been closed against refugees. Czechs Retreating'.
The Hungarian Premier, Count Te* leki, announced in the Chamber that Hungary had completely occupied Ruthenia. Czechs are retreating to the west, and others to Rumania, where they are being disarmed. > A thousand families of Ruthenian refugees, and a regiment of Czech troops are reported to have entered Rumania, fleeing from the Hungarians. They are being billeted in emergency camps and private houses. Over 5000 Czech and Ruthenian refugees crossed the frontier at Sighet, also three Czech infantry battalions, three artillery batteries, three ai'moured car sections, and two aeroplanes, all of which were disarmed.
A man, believed to bo a Czech officer, made an unsuccessful attempt on M. Volosin’s life.
