Live-Wire Protest
(Received 3 p.m.) RUGBY, March 13,
The British Consul-General at Tientsin received a reply from the local authorities with references to protests concerning the erection of live-wire entanglements round the British concession. The reply is now under the consideration of the British Government.
The reply states that the measures were taken in self-defence, the necessity for which would cease if the Concession authorities would co-operate effectively in preserving peace.
